Results - The 10th “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2023
The 10th “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards judging sessions were held in Osaka on Jan 25th, at Hotel Nikko Osaka and Tokyo on Jan 31th, at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo.
A total of 430 judges, all women in the Japanese wine industry, judged 4,222 items from 28 countries.
271 items were awarded “Double Gold”, 1,420 items were awarded “Gold”, 826 items were awarded “Silver”, and a total of 2,517 items were honored with awards.
In addition, 59 of outstanding items from the "Double Gold" were honored with the "Diamond Trophy".
There is also “Special Awards”, which consists of 8 sub-categories, and “Best Pairing Wine for Asian Cuisine” consists of 9 sub-categories, and they are selected from Gold or Double Gold awarded items.
The items with the highest score in each category were awarded the title of “Grand Prix”.
