Thank you very much for your continued support to “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards.

We are pleased to report that, we were able to successfully complete the judging despite your concerns. We received a record number of 4562 entries despite this situation.

The tasting assessments were conducted under strict guidelines to prevent the coronavirus. The all judges and the service team wore masks and face-shields with enough distance.

And in order to avoid long-distance travel, the judging was divided into two locations, Tokyo (Feb.8th) and Osaka (Feb.16th), in keeping with one of the purposes of SAKURA AWARDS, which is "to judge together by women who working in the wine industry from all over Japan”.

The results of the 8th SAKURA AWARDS will be announced on the official website on Mar.8th, on International Women's Day.

The SAKURA AWARDS will continue to make every effort to help revitalize the wine market as we move forward into the future together with you.

For examples, the special award of wines and food pairing has been highly evaluated by wine shops and consumers as “a wine that goes well with home cooking”.

In Japan, some exhibitions are organized, in case of Food and beverages, as “HOTEL & RESTAURANT SHOW 2021” and “SUPERMARKET TRADE SHOW 2021”.

Awarded winning wines of “SAKURA AWARDS” are promoted by the organizer and importers.
